Wounded veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan recently paid tribute to Jerry Kerr, founder of Segs4Vets, a charitable organization that gives Segway PTs to permanently disabled veterans who have difficulty walking. The event was held at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. Kerr, who is a quadriplegic and Segway user himself, founded Segs4Vets in 2005 to help disabled men and women of the U.S. military live their lives to the fullest and see others eye to eye from a Segway instead of from the seat of a wheelchair.
