On August 5, 13 gliders met in Irvine, California, for a group glide through the pretty, rolling terrain of Shady Canyon. On the 11.5-mile scenic loop, we got behind the gates of one of Irvine’s private communities and traveled across a varied landscape of rolling hills, a wilderness preserve, and past one of Irvine’s picturesque community lakes.  We capped off the ride with lively conversation and lunch at Ruby’s.
